About Us

Built by inventors who understand both sides of IP.

PreserveIP was co-founded by a cybersecurity AI engineer and an intellectual property law professor — combining technical detection with legal defensibility from day one.

Shreyas Kumar
Professor of Practice, Computer Science & Engineering · Texas A&M University

Shreyas brings AI, cybersecurity, and software security leadership to PreserveIP, with a focus on building systems that detect IP leakage across GitHub, Slack, Drive, and AI-enabled development workflows. At Texas A&M, his work spans cybersecurity, AI, cyber warfare, security standards, and cyber insurance. As a named inventor on the PreserveIP patent disclosure, he co-conceived the AI-based IP artifact detection methodology, system architecture, and GitHub and Slack monitoring modules.

Patent Disclosure
A joint invention rooted in
law and engineering.

PreserveIP is built on a jointly filed patent disclosure by both co-founders — combining AI-based detection engineering with legal evidence methodology into a single defensible system.

  • AI-based IP artifact detection methodology for identifying model weights, source code, datasets, and credentials across developer channels
  • GitHub and Slack real-time monitoring modules with webhook-based classification and severity scoring
  • AI classification engine using large language models for semantic IP risk assessment
  • Legal evidence packaging system with chain-of-custody metadata and attorney-client privilege framing
  • Model and dataset fingerprinting method for cross-platform IP leakage attribution
